Healthwise Optimum Massage is looking for Full-time and Part-time Massage Therapists to join our incredible team! We require someone who can work at least 15 hours a week preferably female RMT.

Our commercial clinic is located at Keswick Square 17321 Hiller Road SW, Edmonton, Alberta, in the growing neighborhoods of Windermere, Keswick, Langdale, Ambleside and Glenridding areas located in Southwest Edmonton.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Interview clients about their symptoms, medical history and desired results.
• Evaluate clients to locate painful or tense areas of the body.
• Perform professional quality massage within scope of practice.
• Assist in the promotion of the health and wellness benefits to clients receiving massage therapy on a regular basis. Provide treatment plans for their clients.
• Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, overall relaxation and how to improve their posture.
• The therapist will prepare forms for clients to fill-out and then feed and save into the system.
• The therapist after the session manages collecting payments, discuss clinic promotions, and rebooking appointments schedule.
• The therapist provides its client wellness chart accurately and completely through online app after each treatment.
• The therapist provides its own massage oil, massage gel or any other supplies for massage treatment (i.e. cups for Cupping)
• The therapist sanitizes the room, washroom and laundry service for linens and preparing room for the next appointment.
• Follow all practice and protocols.

The massage therapist to join our exceptional team will have the following attributes:

• At least 2200 hours Registered Massage Therapist Diploma
• Must be a member in good standing with a provincial regulatory body (CRMTA, NHPC, MTAA, or CMMOTA)
• Acquired other modalities like Cupping, Hot Stone, Reflexology, Table Thai Oil are considered an asset.
• At least two years of Massage Therapy experience is preferred.
• Ability to provide an excellent therapeutic massage treatment.
• Professional liability insurance
• Motivated to work as part of a team of registered massage therapists, and acupuncturists.

SKILLS :

Communication Skills – Listen carefully to clients in orders to understand what they want to achieve through massage sessions.

Decision -making skills – Evaluate each client’s needs and recommend the best treatment based on that person’s needs.

Empathy – Give clients a positive experience which requires in building trust between client and therapist. Making clients feel comfortable is necessary to expand client base.

Physically fit – Ability to execute daily massage appointments with optimal performance, endurance and strength.
