Full job description

At the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Penticton, we believe in taking care of our people, so they will take care of our guests. We are looking for someone to build connections with our guests, by understanding and exceeding their expectations. We are currently looking for a Front Desk Night Auditor to join our hotel family in beautiful Penticton, BC as we take on the mission to provide exceptional service to our guests!

The Front Desk Night Auditor will assist each of our Guests in a friendly, efficient, professional manner in all guest services related functions. Employee will maintain a high standard of service and hospitality at all times.

Shift is 11pm-7 am

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete all check-ins and check-outs of hotel guests in a timely fashion following proper settlement procedures.
  • Handle all guest complaints and concerns.
  • Handle and completes daily cash summaries following credit policies as outlined by management.
  • Ability and strong comfort level with computers and applications.
  • Fully understand the front desk computer system and how all transactions are posted properly.
  • Treat all guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Stay up-to date on room rates, packages, discounts, road directions, major attractions and common local destinations as well as services and facilities’ hours of operation
  • Minimize loss of revenue by adhering to all established credit and inventory control procedures
  • Increase revenues by offering customers upgraded rooms and promoting hotel amenities and meeting space.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1-2 year customer service experience
  • Flexible and energetic with the ability to work under pressure
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to prioritize with strong data entry, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision or alone
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptionally strong guest service skills to ensure superior guest service and satisfaction
  • Must be able to work various shifts including morning, afternoon, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Hospitality experience an asset
  • Experience with Fosse or other PMS systems an asset
  • Tourism/Hospitality Management Diploma or Post-Secondary Degree an asset
