Responsibilities

• Efficient preparation and production of menu items for the restaurant, banquets & in-room dining with accuracy and attention to detail
• Ensures that sanitation, hygiene and safety standards for proper food storage and handling are met and exceeded
• Finds creative solutions to guest requests
• Ensures a safe working environment through proper use of equipment, being proactive in accident prevention and diligent in eliminating safety hazards
• Assists the culinary team with various food preparation tasks
• Informs Chef immediately of any equipment that is broken or requires maintenance
• Performs other tasks assigned by management

Requirements

• Open to work weekends and stat holidays; Fri/Sat/Sun are non-negotiable
• A sincere passion for the culinary arts and prides themselves on creating inspiring dishes using local ingredients
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment under pressure
• Successful completion of a diploma/certificate in culinary arts a big asset
• Red seal a big asset
• Good English and communication skills
• 3+ years’ previous culinary experience in a similar fast-paced environment preferred
• Must be able to understand and follow WHMIS at all times
• Must be a team player
• Food safe certification required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
