Are you ready to lead the way in upscale dining and banquets? The Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel is searching for a passionate and dynamic Supervisor to join our Beverage and Food Team. This full-time, salaried role offers an annual base salary of $42,000 up to $52,000 with gratuities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB
HALO Bistro|Bar is Edmonton’s hottest dining destination, fusing tradition with local flair in a modern urban setting. Along with our multiple banquet rooms for off-site catering, we're a culinary powerhouse. As a Beverage and Food Supervisor, lead the charge in orchestrating meetings, events, and HALO's 100-seat bar and restaurant. Work alongside our Beverage and Food Manager and fellow supervisors for a memorable dining and event experience to ensure every guest’s expectations are exceeded.

  • Ensure every dish and drink meets the highest standards of excellence by overseeing compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards, and procedures through engaging training sessions and hands-on management.
  • Keep the banquet halls, restaurant, Starbucks kiosk, and room service areas sparkling with impeccable service and pristine sanitation standards.
  • Step into the spotlight as the shining beacon of guest service excellence, leading by example and creating an atmosphere where superior customer service reigns supreme, leaving every guest a fanatic.
  • Assist during meal periods and peak times, lending a helping hand to servers and hosts as they navigate the bustling floor of gastronomic adventure.
  • Take charge of the helm in the face of guest challenges and complaints, wielding your expertise to turn every frown into a smile and every problem into an opportunity for guest satisfaction.
  • Keep a pulse on local liquor laws and ensure every pour adheres to regulations while keeping spirits high and glasses full.
  • Seek guest feedback on the quality of their dining experience and use their insights to continuously elevate our offerings to new heights.
  • Fuel the flames of excellence with ongoing training for associates, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet and exceed guest expectations at every turn.
  • Foster a spirit of camaraderie and collaboration among associates, building strong relationships that form the foundation of our hospitality success.
  • Orchestrate a seamless dining experience from the moment guests arrive until their departure, leaving them longing for more.
  • Implement corrective actions to refine our service standards and ensure every guest leaves with memories of above and beyond service.
  • Make guest satisfaction the star of the show in departmental meetings, weaving a tapestry of excellence that celebrates our achievements and charts a course for even greater success.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years’ experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
OR
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
