DWELL by SAM + SAM Design

St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador

DWELL by SAM and SAM Design are seeking an experienced, creative, and highly organized In-House Brand Manager to lead the growth, visibility, and storytelling of our brands.

This is a unique opportunity for a marketing professional who loves design, hospitality, lifestyle branding, and creating meaningful customer experiences. The successful candidate will work directly with founder Susan Drover and our leadership team to elevate both brands across all customer touchpoints.

SAM Design is an award-winning interior design studio and retail showroom known for creating thoughtful residential, hospitality, and commercial environments across Atlantic Canada.

DWELL by SAM is a collection of distinctive boutique accommodations and hospitality experiences that celebrate design, comfort, and a strong sense of place.

Together, our brands are rooted in beautiful spaces, exceptional service, and authentic storytelling.

The Role

As our In-House Brand Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, drive engagement, and support business growth.

You will oversee content creation, digital marketing, marketing asset creation, public relations, partnerships, events, and brand consistency across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual marketing and brand strategies
  • Manage content calendars for social media, email marketing, blogs, and website updates
  • Create compelling visual and written content that reflects our brand voice
  • Coordinate photography, videography, and creative campaigns
  • Oversee social media performance, analytics, and audience growth
  • Manage email marketing campaigns and customer communications
  • Build relationships with media, influencers, tourism partners, and community organizations
  • Identify partnership and sponsorship opportunities that align with our brands
  • Support retail promotions, product launches, hospitality offerings, and special events
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and customer touchpoints
  • Track key performance metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in marketing, branding, communications, or a related field
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy and content creation
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar creative tools
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms and digital advertising
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams
  • Photography, videography, hospitality, retail, or design industry experience is considered an asset
