Overview

Wheaton’s is a family-owned Maritime business with over 35 years of experience and six retail locations across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. We are seeking an ideal candidate with proven experience leading the performance, operations, and growth of multiple store locations. As our District Manager, you will ensure each store meets sales targets, manages wage budgets effectively, and maintains appropriate inventory levels. You will also analyze store performance data and ensure a premium customer service experience across all locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate multiple store managers to achieve sales targets, operational goals, and customer satisfaction benchmarks.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and brand presence within the Maritimes.
  • Oversee daily operations across locations, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize workflows.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by providing coaching, supervising staff development initiatives, and promoting leadership skills among team members.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze sales data, and prepare reports to inform decision-making and strategic adjustments.
  • Manage budgets, inventory levels, and resource allocation effectively across all locations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or retail management with a demonstrated ability to lead teams successfully.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple locations simultaneously.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities with supervising experience that fosters team engagement and accountability.
  • Expertise in process improvement methodologies to streamline operations and enhance customer service delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, stakeholders, and upper management.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
