Full job description

Located by the beautiful seaside of Victoria, BC, the award wining Dashwood Manor Bed & Breakfast provides the perfect lodging for vacation holidays, business travel, and romantic getaways. This 1912 heritage home sits gracefully on the edge of Victoria’s scenic marine drive, Dallas Road, and is surrounded by incredible ocean and mountain views, mile long beaches, and the famous Beacon Hill Park.

We are a friendly and passionate team, and are looking for energetic, enthusiastic professionals to join, and to become the Breakfast Cook of Dashwood!

As the Breakfast Cook , you understand the importance of a good breakfast, and are committed to going above and beyond to make guests stay memorable. You will be empowered to deliver on our mission of "Creating a memorable experience for our guests".

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparing food for breakfast
  • Cooking Breakfast
  • Help with Menu and food creation
  • Provide friendly and professional service to all guests
  • Physically able to complete tasks in a timely manner; good time management skills
  • Help with groceries
  • Experience working independently
  • Flexible with job duties and willing to take initiative
  • Daily kitchen operations, other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous restaurant experience is preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Detail oriented and an experienced problem solver
  • Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Ablity to bake is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in a culinary program is an asset

Pay and Benefits:

  • The starting pay rate for the position is $23 - $24 per hour, and is dependent on experience and performance.

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

  • Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Cooking: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
