Full job description

Since 1943, Maple Leaf Construction Ltd. has been a trusted leader in heavy civil construction. Our work spans commercial development, paving, site servicing, residential construction, street reconstruction, and highway rehabilitation.

We’re looking for a skilled Welder to support the maintenance and repair of our equipment and fleet.

What You’ll Do

  • Repair and replace wear components on construction and aggregate equipment
  • Perform welding repairs on trucks and trailers
  • Fabricate parts for repairs and light manufacturing
  • Operate oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting equipment
  • Weld various materials, including stainless steel, mild steel, cast metals, and aluminum

Processes include: FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, and air carbon arc gouging

What You Bring

  • Experience in welding and fabrication
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours (up to 16 hours during peak season)
  • Willingness to travel and stay out of town when required
  • Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Comfort working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Considered an asset:
Confined space training, rigging certification, CWB tickets, or related credentials
