Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technologist

We specialize in short run, tight tolerance metal forming, fabrication, welding and assembly.

Job Summary:

• Interpret Customer and internal drawings;
• Present Customer quotations with Sales, if required;
• Detail manufacturing processes and manufacturing costs for quotation and production;
• Issue and complete ECN’s as required;
• Complete all engineering ERP requirements: BOM, EBQ, Manufactured, Purchased & Supplied component set up, drawing reference, Coded/Discounted pricing set up, technical notes, standard costing, product class, WIP ledger code, warehouse, revision, buyer, supplier, etc.;
• Create internal drawings and DXF’s;
• Provide a liaison between the customer and internal personnel for special projects;
• Provide manufacturing support as required;
• Prepare internal department/assembly work instructions as directed by the Engineering Manager;
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures;
• Ensure that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with JGW code of business conduct and in accordance to the JGW Confidentiality Policy;
• Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Skill Factor:

• Ability to read blueprints and perform inspections;
• Geometric dimensioning & tolerancing;
• Basic knowledge of ISO Quality System;
• Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time;
• Intermediate computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project;
• Intermediate skill level in solid works, solid edge, auto cad;
• Excellent mathematical skills;
• Excellent people skills, good communicator both hard and soft skill sets;
• Continuous Improvement experience an asset.

Education:

• Grade 12 minimum;
• Post secondary education in a mechanical or manufacturing technology discipline.

This position is located in Princeton, Ontario, which is 25 minutes from Cambridge and 10 minutes from Brantford.
