Manager, Data Analytics & BI - Hybrid - Mississauga - $130 to 155K + Benefits

Full-time - Permanent Position

MUST HAVES - Management experience, Snowflake, Power BI, STRONG technical aptitude, excellent Communication skills. Hands-on and strategic.

Job Summary
My client is seeking a hands-on Manager of Data Analytics & BI to lead the design, delivery, and adoption of data-driven insights across the organization. This role balances deep technical expertise, with strong people leadership, working closely with BI Analysts, Data Engineers, and Team Leads to build scalable analytics solutions. The ideal candidate is both a builder and a leader, comfortable translating business strategy into actionable analytics while coaching and developing high-performing teams. This role is both strategic and hands on.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous Management experience leading teams of 5+ or more analysts
  • 5+ years of analytics experience MUST HAVE Snowflake and Power BI
  • Full-stack development (frontend and backend) strong technically
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Must be Hands on and Strategic
  • Strong emotional intelligence and empathy to lead diverse teams, conduct effective 1:1s, and support individual growth.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Execute Data Analytics Strategy

  • Create and execute an analytics strategy aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data for innovation and operational efficiency across supply chain functions (warehousing, transportation, contract packaging).

Lead and Develop the Analytics Team

  • Manage, mentor, and coach analytics professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Optimize team structure and workflows to support business goals.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s and support professional growth and skill development.

Deliver Actionable Insights and Reporting

  • Oversee the delivery of timely, relevant reports and dashboards covering sales trends, customer behavior, inventory, and key KPIs.
  • Ensure insights and recommendations are clear and actionable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Design and Maintain Dashboards

  • Develop and maintain dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through systematic checks and collaboration with data engineering.
  • Proactively integrate new data sources to enhance insights.

Drive Advanced Analytics Initiatives

  • Apply advanced analytics techniques (predictive modeling, segmentation, machine learning) to improve demand forecasting, customer insights, and process optimization.
  • Champion analytics adoption and data-driven practices across the organization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, IT, HR, Finance, and other teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Translate complex analytics concepts into practical insights for non-technical audiences.

Team Management & Continuous Learning

  • Oversee staffing, capacity planning, and daily operations to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Stay current on analytics trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Share knowledge and coach team members to drive continuous improvement.

EDUCATION

  • University degree
  • Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or Master’s) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or Data Science an asset
