Full job description

Ritz Plastics is looking for hands-on, detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer's to support the activities of the Production and Engineering Departments. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the implementing, developing and improving manufacturing methods and plans within our organization.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods,

· Facilitate and implement resource planning,

· Design of workstations, assembly equipment, and robotic tooling,

· Confer with product development regarding new product design and tooling to ensure safe and efficient production methods,

· Participate in product launch activities including tooling and process qualification and work instructions,

· Participate in product trouble shooting to implement containment activities, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

· Facilitate and support production with regard to tooling.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Knowledge:

· A degree or diploma from an engineering discipline is required.

· 3-5 years experience with 3D CAD software (Solidworks, etc.).

· Knowledge of the injection moulding process including tooling and equipment.

· 2-4 years experience using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

· Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Candidate must possess good project management skills and initiative in taking on and completing projects.

· Candidates with previous experience in a plastic injection moulding environment will be considered an asset.
