Position Overview

The Product Owner will play a pivotal role in conducting research, managing team backlog, documenting requirements, providing product vision to developers, managing development sprints, and driving sprint goals. You have a passion for quality and will be responsible for driving top-notch product quality and owning test automation for maximum coverage. You will work closely with Software Engineers to understand technical design of applications and ensure testability of developed components. In addition, you will ensure that test infrastructure is easily maintainable and can scale to the requirements of a new generation of leading-edge, SaaS Data Driven applications. You have experience assisting with the full lifecycle of product production — from conception through release. You have experience working with cross-functional teams in the successful creation of products that improve consumer experience and grow market share.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assist the Director of Product with development and launch of new features while considering impacts on user experience and retention, product operations, customer success, marketing, and commercialization
  • Manage cross-functionally to ensure agreed upon backlog items are prioritized, developed and released
  • Work directly with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and deliver the vision and strategy for your product
  • Work closely with the product design and software engineering teams to identify, design, validate, launch, and iterate simple, smart, and inspiring product features that reflect the needs of our users
  • Maintain and promote high standards and best practices around product design, user experience design, and user research
  • Assist in developing and reporting on the strategic roadmap, implementation, and release plan of key products in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Design, develop and implement advanced test plans, test specifications and test suites in an Agile environment
  • Develop automated scripts, enhance the automation framework to test product releases to Customers
  • Perform manual testing, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, black box testing, and end-to-end testing
  • Collaborate with developers to understand technical requirements and translate them into test cases
  • You can leverage data and quantitative skills
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills

What You Offer

  • Bachelors or equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering, Quality Management, Math and/or Physics, Computer Science
  • 3+ years of broad product experience, ideally with starting/scaling up a successful start-up
  • 3+ years experience in technology services industries is desired
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in Automation testing framework and tools on web & mobile apps (Selenium, Postman, SoapUI, Robo, UFT, playwright)
  • Led/grew/evolved products in fields such as HealthTech, fintech, SaaS, artificial intelligence, digital marketing etc. where new product introductions are required
  • Customer empathy, ability to relate, build strong relationships both externally with the client and internally across stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver full lifecycle of new product introductions on a timely basis
  • Experience with design of experiments, pilot design and set up, single and multi-variable test design is an asset
  • Working knowledge of test methodologies, processes, and tools (Python, Test Management tools
  • Experience and a prominent level of comfort with writing SQL queries
  • Develop test plan, test cases, and automated scripts to validate product releases is a nice to have
