This is a full-time, permanent role for a Manual Machinist at Hydraulic Works located in Edmonton, AB. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for performing day-to-day tasks related to manual machining, which may include operating various machines, interpreting blueprints, setting up and adjusting machinery, measuring and inspecting parts, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with manual machining, including operating various machines and interpreting blueprints
  • Ability to set up and adjust machinery, measure and inspect parts, and maintain equipment
  • Knowledge of machining tools and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Certification or diploma in machining or related field is a plus

Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience in hydraulic cylinder repair, general fabrication
  • Cylindrical grinding is a bonus but not essential
  • Welding experience an asset.
  • An asset to have your own tools and but not essential.
  • Experience with chroming systems ad processes a valuable asset but not necessary.
  • Experience with a CNC machine an asset.

Compensation

Wage will be determined by your capabilities / experience / qualifications; expected range between $35-$43 per hour

Benefits include paid vacation, Extended medical coverage, on the job training, trade certification where applicable.
