WORLD-CLASS DESIGN. MODERN MANUFACTURING

Office Manager / Bookkeeper
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
$55,000–$70,000/year (based on experience and skill level)

At RMD, Our Purpose Is Simple

Drive change to make the world better.

Our niche is even more unique.

We build what isn’t there in the One Health space — supporting environmental, human, and animal innovation through advanced manufacturing, automation, and engineering.

That means the financial accuracy you maintain, the systems you improve, and the structure you help create directly support technologies and solutions that don't yet exist.

As our company evolves, so does how we operate internally.

Where We're Headed

RMD is transitioning from a traditional job shop model to a more structured, production-focused manufacturing environment. That includes:

  • Stronger process discipline
  • Greater efficiency and repeatability
  • Investment in advanced CNC equipment
  • Integration of automation technologies
  • Implementation of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)

We're building a business that can scale, and we're looking for someone who wants to help build the operational foundation that supports that growth.

This isn't a company standing still. The right person will grow alongside it.

Who We Are

RMD is a Saskatchewan-owned, fully integrated engineering and manufacturing company serving industrial automation, advanced manufacturing, research, and resource development sectors.

Our Saskatoon facility houses advanced CNC technology and innovative products entering commercialization after years of research and development.

We're not just making parts.

We're scaling innovation.

Our values guide everything we do:

RUTID

  • Respect — We treat people right
  • Unity — We win as a team
  • Trust — We do what we say
  • Integrity — We do the right thing
  • Drive — We push forward

The Opportunity

This is more than a bookkeeping role.

As RMD grows from a traditional job shop into a scalable manufacturing company, we need someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes.

You will own the day-to-day financial operations while supporting administrative systems, coordinating key office functions, and helping leadership improve visibility, accountability, and execution across the organization.

We're not looking for someone to simply maintain the books. We're looking for someone who wants to help build the operational foundation of a growing manufacturing company.

If you enjoy bringing order to complexity, improving systems, and making a meaningful impact across an organization, you'll thrive here.

What You'll Own

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
  • Support job costing, cash flow tracking, and weekly financial reporting
  • Coordinate GST/PST filings, remittances, and external accounting requirements
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end processes

Administrative & HR Support

  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation
  • Administer payroll-related updates, benefits changes, and ROEs
  • Act as the primary liaison with external HR and professional service providers
  • Support leadership with administrative coordination and execution

Office Operations

  • Manage day-to-day office administration and reception activities
  • Coordinate office supplies, vendors, and internal systems
  • Support communication and coordination across office and shop teams
  • Help ensure information flows efficiently throughout the organization

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Improve administrative and financial workflows
  • Support EOS implementation and accountability tools
  • Develop more consistent, scalable internal processes
  • Help create the structure needed to support future growth

Shipping & Logistics Support (Asset)

  • Assist with shipment coordination and documentation
  • Support cross-border shipping activities
  • Communicate with vendors, brokers, and internal teams
  • Help resolve discrepancies and track shipments

What Success Looks Like

  • Financial information is accurate, organized, and delivered on time
  • Payroll, payables, receivables, and reporting run smoothly
  • Administrative systems support the needs of a growing organization
  • Leadership has visibility into key business information and metrics
  • Internal processes become more efficient, scalable, and repeatable

You'll Thrive Here If You

  • Enjoy creating structure and bringing order to complexity
  • Take ownership and follow through on commitments
  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Enjoy improving systems and processes
  • Can balance detailed work with broader business priorities
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, office staff, and shop personnel
  • Want to grow alongside a company that is actively evolving

Strong Assets

  • Manufacturing or job shop experience
  • Job costing or cost accounting exposure
  • QuickBooks and ERP system experience
  • Shipping, logistics, or customs documentation experience
  • Experience supporting EOS or similar business operating systems

Why Join RMD?

  • Work directly with ownership and leadership
  • Help shape systems and processes during a period of growth
  • Be part of a company implementing EOS and modern manufacturing practices
  • Enjoy a role with variety, ownership, and visibility
  • Contribute to innovative products and technologies entering commercialization
  • Build a career with a company investing in its future

Safety Is Our #1 Priority

While this is primarily an office-based role, you will work within a manufacturing environment where safety is critical.

You will be expected to follow all safety policies and procedures when interacting with the shop and operations team.
