Community Support Worker (Part time) –Cowichan Valley, British Columbia

$28.00/hour | Mileage Reimbursement

Position Overview

A Community Support Worker is required to support an adult male with developmental disabilities and complex support needs in a family home and community setting.

The individual is non-verbal and requires assistance with personal care, mobility, medication administration, meals, community participation, and health and safety monitoring.

Responsibilities

· Personal care including hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care

· Meal preparation, feeding assistance, hydration assistance, and mealtime support

· Medication administration, seizure and health monitoring

· Community outings, appointments, shopping, parks, restaurants, and recreational activities

· Transportation to community activities and appointments

· Light housekeeping, laundry, and support-related tasks

· Documentation, medication records, and incident reporting

· Follow established support plans, routines, and safety procedures

Qualifications

· Valid BC Driver's Licence

· Clean Driver's Abstract

· Safe, reliable vehicle with proof of insurance

· Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain

· Successful Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening

· Physical ability to assist with mobility and personal care needs

Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or complex support needs is an asset. Training and orientation will be provided.
