About the Role

Pace Processing is a well-established leader in food manufacturing, and we are looking for a high-caliber Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is designed for a mechanically inclined professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong technical foundation in both Electrical/PLC troubleshooting and mechanical systems. We are looking for a self-starter—someone who doesn't just fix what is broken but looks for ways to improve our systems and ensure maximum production uptime.

Compensation & Shift Details

  • Starting Rate: $36.00 per hour
  • Status: Full-time, Permanent
  • After 3 months probation period Medical/Dental Package included
  • Monthly Cell Phone coverage package
  • Available Shifts (Must be available for weekend work):

Option A: Sunday to Thursday (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM)

Option B: Tuesday to Saturday (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM)

Potential option of 4x10hour shifts in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical & PLC Support: Utilize specific electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain automation and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance: Service and repair food processing equipment, including bearing replacements and servicing chain/gear-driven systems.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled inspections to mitigate equipment failure and improve efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for mechanical or process enhancements to optimize production.
  • Technical Documentation: Read mechanical/electrical diagrams and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
  • Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to safety procedures, GMPs, and lockout/tag-out protocols.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-* 5 years experience: Electrician, Millwright or Maintenance Technician, ideally within a food processing environment*.
  • Electrical Proficiency: Practical knowledge of electrical systems and PLC troubleshooting is required.
  • Technical Skillset: Strong mechanical aptitude with specific expertise in servicing gearboxes, drive chains, and bearing assemblies.
  • Mindset: A "continual improvement" personality with the ability to work independently and take initiative on the floor.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional production teams. Complete job reports on all services
