Outside Sales Representative- Industrial /British Columbia

Based in: Lower Mainland or Okanagan

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced Outside Sales Rep- Industrial to take ownership of and grow our industrial business across British Columbia.

Based in the Lower Mainland or Okanagan, BC, you’ll work with industrial customers across sectors. This will include mining, oil & gas, municipal infrastructure and industrial processing. You will be developing opportunities across our pump, motor and wastewater systems business.

This is a territory role for someone who knows the industrial market, understands how to build long term customer relationships and is comfortable managing opportunities from the first conversation through to a successful sale.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and grow relationships with industrial end users, contractors, engineers and other key stakeholders throughout the territory.
  • Manage and expand existing customer relationships while actively developing new business opportunities.
  • Identify customer needs and connect them with pump, motor, wastewater and related system solutions.
  • Build and maintain a disciplined sales pipeline, keeping opportunities, activities and next steps current within our CRM.
  • Develop opportunities from initial inquiry and technical discussion through quoting, follow-up and close.
  • Partner with inside sales, service teams and vendor partners to develop competitive solutions, prepare proposals and deliver the right technical and commercial approach for the customer.
  • Follow up consistently on quotes, projects and upcoming customer requirements.
  • Stay connected to projects, industry activity and emerging opportunities throughout the territory.
  • Represent the company professionally with customers, vendors and industry partners.
  • Travel regularly throughout British Columbia to meet customers, visit sites and develop the territory.

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of industrial sales experience.
  • Experience with pumps, motors, electrical products, rotating equipment or related industrial systems is strongly preferred.
  • Existing relationships with industrial customers, contractors, engineers or end users within British Columbia is a strong asset.
  • Strong business development and relationship building skills.
  • Comfortable managing technical and commercial sales conversations.
  • Proven ability to develop opportunities and maintain a well-managed sales pipeline.
  • Strong follow-up, organization and communication skills.
  • Self-directed and disciplined, with the ability to independently manage a large geographic territory.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the territory.
