Job Title: IT - Specialty Developer - Senior

Hybrid: In office Tuesday mandatory and second Friday of every Month.

Office Location: 81 Bay Street

Line of Business: TO - Technology Operations

Job Description:

  • Consultant, Mainframe DevOps Deploy
  • Core duties and expectations:
  • Pipeline Automation: Design, build, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
  • Quality and Security: Embed security and compliance checks into the build and deploy processes.
  • Monitoring & Support: Proactively monitor system performance, availability, and incident management.

Must Haves:

  • 5+ Working knowledge of mainframe architecture z/OS and USS
  • Strong administrative and operational knowledge of DevOps Deploy on zOS, including expertise in code packaging, deployments, and overall product management.
  • Experience with DevOps Deploy integrations with the mainframe SDLC (deployment of versions to SIT, UAT and production with differing R&R for each environment)
  • UNIX experience, including coding of JavaScript
  • Documenting processes and workflows for ongoing support and audit compliance.

Nice to haves:

  • 2+ years of Experience setting up partial Deploy and Rollback process workflows.
  • Experience setting up DevOps Deploy in a cluster configuration (active-passive) for both application and database components
  • z/OS experience, especially coding simple to mid complexity REXX/JCL
  • Experience in z/OS development and operations environments – TSO/E, ISPF, USS, SDSF, z/OSMF
  • DevOps Engineering and/or SRE background
