We’re looking to enhance our team by welcoming a new Warehouse Lead to the Warehouse Team. The Warehouse Lead’s key responsibilities are to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of the warehouse operations. Ensuring data is up to date across all physical locations and to lead, mentor and foster the company values with the warehouse staff. The warehouse lead will work closely with the Ferrier warehouse team to ensure efficient and accurate handover of material to and from the Sims warehouse. The warehouse lead will be collaborating closely with the inventory coordinator to ensure the ERP system and physical inventory are aligned. This role will play a critical part in maintaining efficient operations and document control for internal and external audits. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in warehouse / inventory management practices.
The role:
All Taste of Nature Foods Inc. employees must abide and follow the company’s Food Safety / H&S policies and procedures to produce safe, legal, and quality products.
- Assisting with all cycle count programs and ensure consistency and accuracy in same and identify all operational problems in inventory.
- Ensure the integrity of inventory data in the inventory management system.
- Maintain records of all variances according to established procedures and ensure the accuracy of all product transfers from one facility to another.
- Ensure warehouse team is following GMP practices.
- Supports onboarding and training of new staff and works to optimize warehouse
- Train employees and staff in all inventory control processes and cycle counting with the assistance of the inventory coordinator and warehouse supervisors and / or manager.
- Manage all communication with the production and warehouse managers and make recommendations to same if required.
- Manage all inventory discrepancies and provide the required feedback to the management.
- Leading and organizing in partnership with the warehouse manager the annual physical inventory count effort.
- Oversee and support shipping and receiving operations, ensuring inbound and outbound deliveries are accurately documented, labeled, and handled.
- Coordinate and supervise picking and packing activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with customer and production requirements.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and quality teams to resolve material availability or shipment issues
- Train warehouse personnel with the company’s S.O.P.’s to ensure standard practice in the warehouse.
- May need to operate shunt truck to move materials / ingredients / etc. between buildings.
- Process courier parcel shipments in the appropriate location for pickup.
- Be part of continuous improvement team as the company integrates new procedures.
- Provide feedback to warehouse manager regarding warehouse employee performance.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisor(s) to improve the operating efficiencies between all internal warehouses and 3PL facility.
- Other warehouse-related duties as required.
- Performing administrative tasks as needed and providing support to warehouse supervisor(s) where needed

You offer:
- 3–5 years of inventory control experience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing inventory processes including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods tracking.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, CFIA regulations, and other food safety/quality compliance requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems used in food manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Syspro, JustFood, Aptean).
- Proven ability to reconcile physical inventory with ERP/system data accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with knowledge of lot control, expiry date management, and traceability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, inventory reports).
- Ability to implement and follow standardized procedures to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
- Experience coordinating and executing cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment.
- First Aid and CPR and asset, training to be provide within the first 3 months of role acceptance.
- Valid Ontario “G” driver’s licence is required.
- Valid Forklift / Reach / Walkie licence recognized in Ontario is required.
- Ability to obtain GZ license, training to be provided by the company.
