Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Break Press Setup Operator and/or Schroder Panel-bender Setup Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining bending machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and familiarity with various manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient production processes and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

  • Set up and calibrate bending machines according to blueprints and specifications
  • Operate other shop equipment needed.
  • Use hand tools, calipers, and measuring devices for quality inspection and ensuring dimensional accuracy
  • Independantly program forming machines to create a precision sheet metal completed part
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press machines and related equipment such as CNC machinery.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations
  • Assist in quality control inspections to maintain product standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating press brake machines, Schroder up/down Panelbenders or similar manufacturing equipment
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and mechanical diagrams
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and setup procedures
  • Ability to use hand tools, calipers, and perform basic math calculations relevant to manufacturing processes
  • Experience working with Aluminum and Stainless Steel preferred
  • Knowledge of crane operation and forklift handling is a plus but not required
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision craftsmanship
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing safety standards and protocols
