Project Manager - Permanent - 19031
About the Opportunity
This isn’t an easy Project Manager role, and for the right person, that’s exactly the appeal.
Parker Huggett is thrilled to invite a talented PM to step into some of the most complex institutional construction work in the GTA; projects where sequencing matters, access is controlled, environments are live, and failure is not an option. Think Hospitals, secure facilities, mission critical spaces, innovative building methodologies. Projects that demand judgement, not just process.
Our client is a long established, self performing General Contracting / Construction Management firm with a strong presence across Ontario. They are trusted with work that few others get invited to bid and that trust has led to one of the healthiest pipelines of challenging institutional projects available in the GTA.
If you’re motivated by responsibility, complexity, and the idea of putting truly career defining projects on your résumé while many of the market is chasing more of the same, this opportunity should stop you in your tracks.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Managing complex stakeholder relationships
Leading consultants, trades, and internal teams through tight execution windows
Controlling schedule, cost, quality, and risk where mistakes carry real world consequences
About You
You’re already a strong Project Manager, but you want your work to mean more.
You’ve delivered complex projects for a General Contractor and understand the realities behind the drawings
You’re comfortable operating in environments where safety, security, phasing, and stakeholder management are non negotiable
You don’t shrink when constraints tighten - you focus
You communicate clearly, plan relentlessly, and think two steps ahead
You see controlled, institutional environments not as barriers, but as intellectually rewarding problems to solve
Most importantly, you care about where your career is headed, and you know that the nature of the projects you deliver matters.
About the Job
You’ll take ownership of large scale institutional construction projects, many delivered in live or high security environments where planning, coordination, and leadership are everything.
In return, you’re joining a contractor known for doing difficult work well, offering:
Competitive compensation ranging from $130,000 to $160,000, strong benefits, and performance incentives
Exposure to technically demanding, reputation building projects
A leadership group that trusts capable people and gives them room to operate
Long term career progression built on capability
