Full job description

Our Story

At Blowers & Grafton (B&G), we are not just serving food, we are serving East Coast culture, hospitality, and flavour.

We source as much of our menu as possible from out East to bring you genuine flavors and all the classics — from the OG Halifax Donair and Garlic Fingers, to Mini Lobster Rolls and Chips, all paired perfectly with craft beer or cocktails.

Founded by a group of passionate Canadians, B&G was built on a bold vision: to celebrate the spirited roots of Halifax and share the food, drink, music, and culture of the East Coast with the rest of Canada.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Line Cook who’s passionate about great food, teamwork, and East Coast hospitality. You’ll play a key role in preparing high-quality dishes, keeping our kitchen running smoothly, and ensuring every guest leaves happy.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen — especially in guest view areas
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Work efficiently during service and support smooth shift transitions
  • Handle nightly closing duties: cleaning, prep, and equipment organization
  • Communicate effectively with managers, teammates, and the front-of-house team
  • Prepare, cook, and plate dishes with care and consistency
  • Take pride in the quality and presentation of every item leaving the kitchen
  • Handle volume — cooking for both dine-in and takeout with accuracy and speed

Who You Are

  • Outgoing, dependable, and motivated
  • Passionate about great food and real ingredients
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excited to learn, grow, and bring East Coast energy to every shift

What’s in It for You

  • Best-in-class training — we believe in learning side by side and supporting your growth
  • Opportunities to develop leadership and culinary skills through custom training programs
  • A workplace that believes in promoting from within
  • A fun, fast-paced, and welcoming team environment

Join the B&G Crew!

If you’re ready to bring the East Coast to your kitchen and be part of an exciting, growing Canadian restaurant brand — apply today!
