About the Company:

Crown Packaging is a division of Crown Paper Group which is a regional leader in the paper and containerboard industry, comprising four business divisions: Port Townsend Paper Company, Crown Packaging, Boxmaster, Viking Way Plant, and Industrial Products. With operations in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada, the group includes an integrated containerboard mill, three converting facilities, and multiple distribution centers.

The company specializes in manufacturing recycled and virgin kraft containerboard, kraft pulp, and specialty products, while its converting operations excel in customer engagement and distribution networks across British Columbia and Alberta

We currently have 2* openings for Production Workers in a Union Set up based out of our location in Richmond, BC.

*Please note, our location is not situated near public transit, applicants must have their own vehicle.

Competitive wages start at $28.90 per hour. Increases every 6 months for the first 12 months, with additional annual increases:

After 6 months wages increase to +$32.51 per hour.

After 12 months wages increase to +$ 36.12 per hour.

Job responsibilities for this position:

· Safely, and skillfully performing a wide range of responsibilities supporting the manufacturing of corrugated boxes and sheets.

· Tending to corrugated box and sheet making equipment while focusing on safety, quality, and production requirements.

Qualifications and requirements for this position:

· Background in a manufacturing environment, skilled trade, general laborer or in a fast-paced industry.

· Elevated mechanical aptitude level.

· An organized problem solver, able to prioritize.

· Adaptable, punctual, and detail oriented.

· Rotation shift (day, graveyard and afternoon) required.
