ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF CARE

Your Opportunity!

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Associate Director of Care will collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure an advanced standard of clinical resident practice and care outcomes and will exhibit a role model in care provision through mentorship and leadership. This position is expected to ensure the needs and expectations of the residents and staff are met in accordance with the legislated requirements of the Ontario Long Term Care Homes Act.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Oversee the delivery of resident care including infection control and staff education and orientation.
  • Contribute to the quality management program for the nursing department ensuring required outcomes are achieved.
  • Ensure standards of resident care and services are consistently achieved.
  • Ensure all MOHLTC requirements are met.
  • Assume the Director of Care duties in the absence of the Director.
  • Assist with the development and management of the nursing department budget.
  • Contribute to a home environment for residents that ensures the values of Primacare Living Solutions are maintained and upheld.

Qualifications:

  • RN with current CNO registration
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in BSO
  • Nursing Unit Leadership Certificate preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years nursing experience in the LTC or Hospital sector preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year management experience in the LTC or Hospital sector preferred.
  • Understanding of RNAO Best Practice Guidelines
  • Strong leadership, team building & analytical skills.
  • Proof of full immunization (2 doses) against COVID-19
