Superior Facility Services is a family owned company providing laundry and housekeeping services to long term care and retirement facilities for over 30 years. We are searching for permanent part time Laundry / Housekeeping Aide for our location in Waterdown Ontario - Alexander Place

Must be able to work day, afternoon and evening shifts and must be available for alternate weekend shifts. Candidate must be able to work in all home areas of the facility.

This is a Long Term Care facility and candidates must be willing to work during pandemic and adhere to all Covid precautions and immunization policy.

Must provide Vulnerable Sector Police Check and 2 Step TB Test.

Duties:

Maintain overall cleanliness and upkeep of all facility including flooring; Follow job routines to maintain overall cleanliness of facility; Launder and deliver facility linens and resident clothing; Sweep, mop and wash floors; Dust furniture; Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture; Clean, disinfect fixtures; Disinfect rooms and other areas; Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; Clean and disinfect elevators; Handle and report lost and found items; Pick up debris and empty trash containers.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to stand for long periods (experience is an asset but willing to train the right candidate)

Must enjoy working with seniors and bring a positive can do attitude to work everyday.

Involves pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and standing and walking for long periods of time.

Willing to train the right candidate but experience is considered an asset.
