Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Representative to join our sales team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and expanding our presence across designated territories. You will be expected to promote the company success by focusing on, supporting and ensuring we meet and exceed our customers' expectations at all times.

Duties

  • Develop knowledge of customers continuing needs and practices to assure the most efficient service possible, and to build customer loyalty and satisfaction. Includes travel to customer facilities and participation in corporate meetings and tours
  • Acquires working knowledge of possible applications of metal products to maximize sales potential
  • Interacts with technical, accounting, and traffic departments to gain information needed to respond to customer questions and complaints
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inside Sales team to ensure high performance and customer service standards
  • Coordinates with Inside Sales & Service Specialists to assure optimum lead time and assist in resolving customer complaints
  • Maintain contact throughout the company to expedite and control customer orders within established guidelines
  • Oversee traffic operations to ensure efficient logistics and timely order fulfillment
  • Act as the primary point of contact for complex issues related to inside sales and logistics
  • Foster collaboration between the sales team, traffic operations, and other internal departments
  • Reports to and is accountable to the General Manager
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with company goals to maximize market penetration

Experience

  • Minimum of a College Degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a sales related position, preferably in a steel
  • Proven success in outside sales with a strong background in the metals sector
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, account management, and territory expansion strategies
  • Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce or equivalent platforms for lead tracking and customer relationship management
  • Possess strong computer skills (MS Office, Google workspace, AS/400)
  • Experience with inside sales techniques including cold calling, prospecting, and lead qualification
  • Familiarity with marketing concepts that support direct sales efforts and lead generation campaigns
  • Management experience or prior leadership roles in sales teams are highly desirable
  • Excellent analysis skills for evaluating market data, customer needs, and competitive intelligence
  • Ability to deliver engaging product demos that highlight features and benefits effectively
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build long-term client relationships
  • G driver’s license required
  • Ability to travel in Canada and to US, valid passport required
