The Executive Director is the senior management personnel in the home, reporting directly to the Director of Operations. Responsible for the overall operation of the Home. The Executive Director is responsible to perform all assigned responsibilities in accordance with all legislated and Omni standards, policies and procedures.

• Salary Range: $119,090.00 -$122,329.00 per annum

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Health or Business Health Administration that is a minimum of 4 years in duration.
• Has successfully completed a program in long-term care home administration or management that is a minimum of 100 hours in duration of instruction time.
• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of recent managerial experience in the long-term care home sector.
• Has demonstrated leadership and communications skills.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide strong, consistent leadership to ensure the maintenance of a cohesive and cooperative management team.
• Ensure that effective management systems, including reporting and internal control, are maintained to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, the Fixing Long Term Care Act and all Omni Quality Living standards, policies and procedures.
• Develop goals and objectives for the Home on an annual basis in collaboration with the managers, staff, residents and families. Monitor and evaluate progress and make adjustments as needed.
• Direct, oversee and support each manager as they lead their department. Provide support, guidance and leadership to all managers to ensure the appropriate and effective management of each department.
• Ensure the implementation and management of effective information and communication systems. Share information with Management team, Employees, Residents and Families to ensure transparency and effective communication.
• Direct and oversee the appropriate utilization of all resources to ensure appropriate allocation to support required care services; develop proposals for the annual operating budget.
• Ensure all financial reports and submissions are prepared and submitted as scheduled and required, without exception.
• Oversee the administration of the payroll program.
• Recruit and select and provide a comprehensive, ongoing training program for all managers; provide formal assessments of the performance of management personnel in keeping with Omni policy.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of appropriate and current policies and procedures, which reflect the philosophy, goals and objectives of the organization.
• Engage as an active participant in the infection control program collaboratively with the Omni Infection Control team. Ensure that all personnel adhere to established policies and procedures for infection control. Provide expertise and leadership to all staff.
