Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and equipment across various routes. This role requires a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and excellent customer service.

Duties

  • Safely operate trucks for local or long-distance freight transportation, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
  • Assist with automotive repairs or minor troubleshooting of vehicle issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Operate heavy equipment when necessary for loading or unloading freight at various sites.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and perform basic automotive repairs is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple routes.
