Full job description

Municipal Construction Limited specializes in asphalt production, paving, aggregate production, road building and rehabilitation.

We are currently accepting resumes for Class 1 Drivers. This is a full-time seasonal position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Safely and efficiently haul gravel, asphalt, sand etc.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure truck is performing to required standards. Maintain familiarity with different trucks/trailers in order to accurately inspect trucks, trailers, tires, pins, lights, etc.
  • Perform minor maintenance, greasing, bulb changes etc.
  • Accurately record and maintain driving logs
  • Adherence to all DOT regulations and company safety practices and procedures

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Class 1 Driver's License required
  • Completion of Power Line Hazards and WHIMS would be considered an asset
  • Experience in driving across long distances and the ability to remain alert over extended periods
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Work Environment

  • Frequent noise exposure
  • Long periods of sitting
