Full job description

About Us:

At T Bar C, we specialize in marketing and selling livestock – primarily cattle – across Canada and into the US. Our small, tight-knit team helps farmers market their livestock through a blend of print and digital design We're looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join us, with a primary focus on creating sale catalogues using InDesign and Photoshop.

The Role:

As a Graphic Designer with T Bar C, you’ll have a central role in creating advertisements, sale catalogues, and other marketing materials for clients in the purebred cattle industry. We also build and manage websites for several clients, so web design experience, while not required, is a plus.

This role gives you creative freedom to design each project to the client’s unique needs. You’ll work directly with clients, so strong communication skills and a client-first attitude are essential.

Experience in the livestock/cattle industry is definitely an asset but is not required — if you're willing to learn, we'll provide the knowledge you need.

Key Skills:

  • Print Design: Create and prepare sale catalogues, posters, brochures, signage, etc. for print using Adobe Suite products.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients via phone and email, collaborating with them to tailor design projects to their specific needs.
  • Creative Copywriting: Write creative copy for designs and ads with strong attention to grammar and spelling.
  • Web Design: Contribute to front-end web projects as needed.
  • Adobe InDesign & Photoshop: Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for creating print materials, graphics, photo editing, and more.
  • Typography: Knowledge of modern typography, with an eye for detail in alignment, kerning, tracking, and similar.
  • Communication: Ability to maintain professional, positive client relations throughout the design process.
  • Self-Motivated: Comfortable working independently, managing time effectively, and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute positively to the team — especially during busy seasons with tight deadlines.

Bonus Skills:

  • Front-end Web Design: Any experience with HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, and frameworks like Bootstrap is considered an asset.
  • Adobe Illustrator: Experience with vector graphics and logo design is a plus.
  • Cattle Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with purebred or commercial cattle operations, or the livestock industry in general, is beneficial.

What We Offer:

  • Casual Office Environment: Casual dress, a small friendly team, and comfortable, spacious work areas.
  • Seasonal Workload Variation: Expect a heavier workload with tight deadlines from September to April; and a significantly lighter workload with flexible hours, including rotating Fridays off, from May through August. Great for summer vacation plans!
  • Growth Opportunities: We're a small team but there’s ample room for professional development and growth.

How To Apply:

Please send your resume, along with a cover letter or your portfolio to Bryan at bryan@tbarc.com.

Thank you for considering a position at T Bar C! We appreciate all applicants and will respond as soon as possible.
