About Us
Hap Transportation Group is a well-established, family-oriented transportation company operating since 2006. With over 100 trucks in our fleet, we provide a range of logistics services including container drayage, cross-border, intermodal, warehousing, and line haul transportation throughout North America. We're looking for a driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee our daily operations.

Position Summary
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the dispatch and logistics operations of our 100+ truck fleet. You will ensure the efficient, safe, and timely movement of freight while leading a team of dispatchers and working closely with drivers, customers, and support staff. Flexibility, leadership, and a deep understanding of transportation operations and systems are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day fleet operations and dispatch for over 100 trucks.
  • Ensure efficient load planning, on-time deliveries, and cost-effective routing.
  • Manage and support dispatch and operations staff.
  • Monitor compliance with Hours of Service, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Resolve operational issues and provide real-time solutions under pressure.
  • Maintain strong communication with drivers, customers, and vendors.
  • Provide leadership in crisis situations (accidents, delays, weather disruptions).
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement continuous improvements.
  • Work closely with upper management to align operational goals with company strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a transportation operations or dispatch leadership role.
  • Proven ability to manage a large fleet in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be flexible and available 24/7 as operational needs require.
  • Solid understanding of DOT, Canadian/US Hours of Service, and safety compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make fast, sound decisions.
