LOGGING GEOLOGIST

Fox Exploration Ltd. is accepting applications for a Core Logging Geologist, as outlined below, to play a key role in advancing Sitka Gold Corp's RC Gold Project, located near Dawson City, Yukon. The RC Gold Project is one of Canada’s most exciting new gold development stories and Sitka plans to significantly advance it with up to 60,000 metres of diamond drilling planned for 2026. Fox Exploration provides exploration project management and support personnel to various clients in the mineral resources sector, including Sitka Gold. Established for over 15 years, Fox is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel with the opportunity for career advancement across several positions.

Job Overview
Reporting directly to the Project Geologist on site, the Logging Geologist will work closely with other geological team members in processing and sampling of diamond drill core at a remote exploration camp on a rotational basis of approximately 4 weeks on site and 2 weeks of leave. Room and board and transportation to and from the job site will be provided.

Responsibilities
Job duties of the Logging Geologist may include:

  • Logging of drill core and subsequent data entry
  • Overseeing geotechnical logging, sampling and processing of diamond drill core
  • Spotting drill holes, aligning the drill rig and checking on drill rigs and their status on site
  • Organizing samples for shipment to the analytical lab
  • Tracking and cataloguing drill core and samples
  • Other geology department work as required that is suitable to the employee's skills and experience such as mapping, prospecting and surface sampling

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Geology or Earth Sciences
  • Previous experience logging diamond drill core
  • Experience with GeoSpark or other geological logging or modelling software is an asset
  • Physically fit to perform the duties required for the position including standing for long periods of time and lifting core boxes
  • Self-motivated, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work on a remote site and on a rotational schedule
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Anticipated Start Date: June 19, 2026 with the project anticipated to run through October this year.
