Project Type: Maintenance

Schedule: 9/80 - 2 week cycle, Week 1: Monday-Friday 9 hour days (8 hour Friday), Week 2: Monday - Thursday 9 hour days

Jardeg is recruiting a Class 1 - Equipment Operator to join the Integrated Constructors maintenance team at Cenovus Upgrader in Lloydminster, SK


Equipment Operators - are expected to safely and efficiently operator heavy machinery which involves performing daily checks, basic mechanical upkeep, interpreting plans, following safety protocols, working outdoors in all conditions and communicating with their team to move materials, grade land, or complete complex tasks.


The responsibilities of an Equipment Operator include, but are not limited to:


  • Perform work and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, company and site policies and procedures.
  • Move material operating Forklift, Telehandler and Skid Steer.
  • Perform pre-operational routine inspections of equipment.
  • Communicate and review hand signals with spotter.
  • Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment.
  • Read and understand the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
  • Properly maintain and service or has equipment serviced daily.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Class 1 Drivers License with air breaks endorsement
  • Forklift Ticket
  • Telehandler Ticket
  • CSTS 2020
  • Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive
  • Energy Safety Canada ELevated Work platform
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
  • WHMIS (2015)
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
