Grande Cache Inn and Suites is seeking an experienced, hands-on Line Cook for the Smoky River Grill. The ideal candidate will be organized, creative, with strong customer service skills.

Duties:

  • Prepare food to order to the highest quality standards.
  • Inventory control and food ordering to ensure food costs targets are achieved and wastage is minimized.
  • Ensure the kitchen facility is organized, clean, sanitary and in good working order.
  • Maintain and arrange service for all kitchen equipment.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
  • Be a team player, assisting in the Front of the House when needed.
  • Other duties as required by management.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • At least 2 years of culinary work experience in a full-service establishment is required.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively with a team.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
  • Communication and leadership skills.

Required licenses, certificates, and registrations:

  • Food safe certification.
  • First aid certification is an asset.
  • Valid WHIS certificate is required.
