Residential Property Manager

Location: Bathurst, New Brunswick and Surrounding Area
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $45,000–$50,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and organized Residential Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of residential rental properties in Bathurst and the surrounding communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining positive tenant and owner relationships, coordinating leasing activities, conducting property inspections, and ensuring our properties are professionally managed and well maintained.

This position is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, highly organized, able to work independently, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections and prepare detailed inspection reports.
  • Show and lease vacant rental units to prospective tenants.
  • Prepare leases, notices, inspection reports, and other tenancy-related documentation.
  • Deliver notices and communicate with tenants regarding tenancy matters.
  • Perform regular property and unit inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and compliance with lease agreements.
  • Respond to tenant inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair requests with contractors and maintenance staff.
  • Monitor vacancies and assist in marketing available rental units.
  • Maintain accurate tenant files and property records.
  • Communicate with owners to ensure transparency and permission in all transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with the New Brunswick Residential Tenancies Act and company policies.
  • Assist with rent collection follow-up and tenant communication as required.
  • Perform other property management duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in residential property management, leasing, customer service, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional and courteous approach when dealing with tenants, contractors, and the public.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence and criminal record check required.
  • Ability to travel throughout Bathurst and surrounding communities.
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Fluency in French would be considered an asset/
