Full job description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring, responsible, and experienced Live-In Nanny to provide attentive childcare and support for young children in a private household. The successful candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment while assisting with daily routines, educational activities, meal preparation, and light household duties related to the children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for young children.
  • Supervise and ensure children's safety at all times.
  • Plan and engage children in educational, recreational, and developmental activities.
  • Assist with morning and bedtime routines.
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
  • Feed, bathe, dress, and assist with personal hygiene as needed.
  • Transport children to and from school, daycare, appointments, and extracurricular activities when required.
  • Maintain children's schedules, including naps, meals, and activities.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children, including:
  • Laundry
  • Organizing toys and play areas
  • Cleaning children's bedrooms and common areas used by the children
  • Washing children's dishes and bottles
  • Monitor children's health and well-being and communicate any concerns to parents.
  • Administer medication as directed by parents when authorized.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding daily activities and developmental milestones.
  • Support positive behavior and reinforce household rules and routines.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience caring for infants, toddlers, or young children.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (preferred).
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, patient, and nurturing demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism within a private household.
