Full job description

Contrada is seeking a full-time line cook to join our team. An already beloved but ever-evolving neighbourhood restaurant in Little Italy, Contrada is a fast-paced kitchen that is dedicated to serving high-quality modern Italian food. Full-time employees can expect to work four shifts a week at around 10 hours per shift.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to the Chefs specifications
- Follow proper food safety and handling procedures
- Ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook. An ideal candidate is someone dedicated to pursuing a career in restaurant kitchens
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal presentation
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
- Afternoon, evening, and night time availability is required. Most shifts are from 2:00/3:00pm until Midnight

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 46 per week
