Full job description

Chaitons LLP is an established multi-practice law firm with a reputation for excellence. We provide quality service in corporate matters, commercial real estate, restructuring and insolvency, financings, mortgage enforcement and commercial litigation. We are currently recruiting for experienced full-time Law Clerks and Legal Assistants to join our Mortgage Enforcement and Litigation Departments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure;

· Drafting correspondence and pleadings;

· Communicating with lawyers, clients, process servers and other third parties;

· Assisting lawyers and law clerks as required.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3-5 years' civil litigation experience;

· Ability to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative as required;

· Possess Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate from a recognized institution;

· Excellent keyboarding skills with proficiency in MS Office applications;

· Extremely organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills;

· Knowledge of litigation software including document management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
