Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.B. from an accredited law school;
  • Valid license to practice law in Canada.
  • Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario;
  • Minimum 2 years' experience practising Civil Litigation and/or Employment Law in Ontario;
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience appearing before courts and administrative tribunals is considered an asset;
  • Ability to independently manage multiple files while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines;
  • Strong organizational and practice management skills;
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Respobilities

  • Manage and oversee civil litigation cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide legal advice and representation in employment law matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case approaches aligned with firm standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support business development initiatives through client engagement and networking.

Contractors Welcome

Hybrid Work

Compensation
