Company Overview

Lailna Dhaliwal LLP is a law firm based in Vaughan, dedicated to providing expert legal services in mortgage enforcement, real estate law, and private lending. We are looking for a law clerk with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Summary

Your role as a Law Clerk is vital in supporting our legal team by managing mortgage enforcement files and real estate files from start to finish. This position is based in person and offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a dynamic legal environment.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare notice of sale, statement of claim, default judgment, motion record, affidavit, etc.
  • Manage electronic filings via the JSO portal
  • Prepare and organize files to be uploaded in Case Center
  • Prepare closing documents for private mortgage files, discharges, purchases, sales and refinances
  • Provide other administrative support to lawyers, and law clerks, as needed
  • Coordinate communication between clients, courts, and internal teams
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, bookkeeping, and filing to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as a law clerk in real estate, mortgage enforcement or civil litigation is required
  • Extensive experience using Cosmolex, Closer, Adobe, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proven experience with legal research tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
