Full job description

On behalf of our client, a highly regarded national law firm, we are searching for an experienced Compliance Coordinator to join its Corporate Commercial team in Vancouver.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior corporate professional to take on a key role coordinating a high-volume corporate compliance practice while working alongside lawyers, paralegals and legal support professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the high-volume workflow of the corporate compliance team
  • Prepare and oversee annual resolutions for British Columbia and federal corporations
  • Coordinate British Columbia and cross-Canada registrations and annual filings
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to streamline and implement corporate compliance processes and procedures
  • Provide guidance, training and mentorship to paraprofessionals on corporate compliance matters
  • Assist with special projects relating to corporate compliance and governance
  • Perform billable corporate compliance work approximately 50–75% of the time

Requirements:

  • Paralegal diploma and/or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate compliance work
  • Strong knowledge of corporate compliance procedures and requirements
  • Experience with corporate database technology; experience with cloud-based technology is an asset
  • Knowledge of iManage, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a high-volume workflow and manage competing deadlines
  • Collaborative and strategic approach with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Adaptability and the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and deadlines

The position requires a minimum of 10 years of corporate compliance experience, along with strong organizational, communication and technology skills.

Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience.
