With over 165 years in business, the firm has continually evolved to meet the needs of its clients, leveraging multidisciplinary teams with the breadth of experience to provide exceptional service.
Today, McInnes Cooper continues to serve as a trusted legal advisor, dedicated to fostering the long-term success of its clients, both locally and globally.
About Legal Support Services
Legal Support Services is a core operational function that enables efficient, client-focused legal services. The Director provides strategic and operational leadership to Office and Practice Managers and all non-lawyer support roles, including Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Office Support Assistants and Facilities and Operations teams across all McInnes Cooper offices.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, People and Culture, the Director of Legal Support Services will play a critical leadership role in shaping how legal support services are delivered across all McInnes Cooper offices. The successful candidate will lead the continued evolution of team structures, workflows, service standards, and resourcing models, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency through technology, AI, legal project management practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Equally important is the people leadership aspect of the role. The Director will foster a high performing, engaged, and adaptable team culture by providing leadership in recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, and career development.
Who You Are

You approach challenges with a calm, solutions-focused mindset and are skilled at balancing operational demands, people leadership, and client service expectations in complex environments. Strong communication, organizational, and execution skills are essential in this role, along with the ability to influence and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
With more than 10 years of leadership experience, you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Law, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
