The accommodations are bedrooms at Wilderness Edge in Pinawa with some private and some shared bathrooms as well as access to a shared, unstaffed kitchen where employees can store their items and prepare their meals.

Summary

We are seeking a reliable Miner 3 - Underground Scoop Operator - Miner 3 to support production and development for our growing team. This role is essential in maintaining efficient mucking, material handling, and overall underground productivity.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a site that is actively ramping up production, offering steady work and competitive pay.

  • Wage - $40.37/hr

  • $70.65/hr for OT that's scheduled (1.75x wage)

Responsibilities

  • Operate underground scoop trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Muck blasted headings and transport ore/waste to designated locations.
  • Maintain clean working areas, including headings, drifts and loading zones.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections, routine servicing, and basic checks of equipment.
  • Identify and report unsafe ground conditions, equipment issues, or hazards.
  • Work closely with miners, supervisors, and other underground crews to maintain production flow.
  • Follow ground control standards, mine plans, and safe work procedures.
  • Maintain accurate shift reports and communicate work completed during each shift.
  • Support other underground mining tasks as required within the crew.
  • Assist with other underground tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous underground mining experience required.
  • Experience operating underground equipment.
  • Ability to recognize changing ground conditions and respond appropriately.
  • Mechanical aptitude for equipment checks and minor troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team-based underground environment.
  • Commitment to safety, communication, and consistent execution.
