This role is best suited for skilled, productivity-driven technicians who are comfortable traveling and working in the field.

Our people are key to our success, so we work hard to attract, develop, and retain great team members. We invest in your development path – coaching, mentoring, and training continuously to help grow your capabilities, competencies, and confidence.

We are looking for an experienced and productivity-driven Aerial Lineman to join our expanding team. In 2026 we have existing projects and new projects spanning from Ontario to BC. Each project provides the opportunity for technicians to maximize earning potential and contribute to connecting Canadians.

Job Duties

  • Perform copper splicing for telecom networks, ensuring signal quality and continuity
  • Install, audit, repair and splice copper cables (aerial, underground, buried)
  • Test splices and circuits using approved testing equipment
  • Read and interpret telecom design prints and update field documentation
  • Work safely at heights (15–40 ft), in confined spaces, and near energized lines
  • Operate splicing tools, power tools, bucket trucks, and company vehicles

Essential Attributes For Success

We live and breathe our 6 core values. They are essential not just for each individual’s success in their role, but also for the success of WP Telectronics as a whole.

1. Prioritize Safety – No job is so urgent or important that it can’t be done safely. Safety is in every decision and every action that we do

2. Do the Right Thing – Act with integrity in all situations

3. Be the Best – Never settle for good enough when it comes to productivity, quality, or safety.

4. Find a Better Way – Challenge the status quo. Without sacrificing safety, always look for a way to be a little bit more efficient, a little bit more productive, and produce a higher quality product

5. Support Each Other – Everyone has a part to play in our team’s success

6. Welcome the Challenge – Solving tough problems is what we do. It’s what separates us from the rest of the industry. Embrace the challenge and enjoy the ride

Aside from having attributes that are in line with our core values, one other essential “must-have” is your ability to travel. WP Telectronics has projects all over Canada. We need road warriors who can go where the projects are. A typical shift rotation is 21 days on, 10 days off

  • Minimum 2 years of OSP copper splicing experience
