233 King Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

Aura on the Lake, NOTL's first authentic Indian restaurant, is hiring an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team for peak summer season and beyond.

About Us
Aura on the Lake is a chef-driven, family-owned restaurant blending authentic Indian, Italian, and American cuisine . We've held the OpenTable Diners' Choice Award since opening in 2022, serving both wine country visitors and our loyal local regulars.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare authentic Indian dishes — curries, tandoor items, biryanis, and regional specialties — to Aura's standards
  • Maintain food quality, portioning, and presentation during high-volume summer service
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen leadership and prep team to keep service running smoothly

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience cooking Indian cuisine (professional kitchen experience required)
  • Familiarity with tandoor cooking, spice blending, and traditional techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and peak summer hours
