We're Hiring! Composite Technician – Winnipeg, MB

As Western Canada’s largest manufacturer of custom-engineered fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) products, we serve the mining, oil and gas, pulp and paper, water treatment, chemical processing, potable water extraction, and electrical utility sectors. We’re growing fast and looking for enthusiastic and reliable full-time Composite Technicians to join our dynamic manufacturing team!

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Operate the chopping gun with precision and care.
  • Cut and kit glass fabrics to specifications.
  • Blend resin with catalysts and additives for optimal performance.
  • Perform manual fiberglass layup using brushes, rollers, squeegees, and other hand tools on mold surfaces, following engineering drawings.
  • Apply exterior surface gelcoat manually for superior finishes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the general upkeep of the shop.

Advanced Responsibilities for those with aptitude:

  • Secure fittings, nozzles, lugs, and sub-assemblies to primary structures with precision.
  • Conduct visual defect and dimensional conformance inspections of finished products.
  • Apply resin via spray gun for even and consistent coverage.
  • Use the fiberglass chopping gun for FRP “chop” applications with expertise.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Previous fiberglass manufacturing experience is an asset but not required.

Wage

Starting at $19+ per hour
