Casa Di Luce is one of Canada’s largest designer lighting showrooms. Working with customers and designers on residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, we are fortunate enough to have our products displayed in Canada’s top interiors. We are experiencing tremendous growth of our retail and e-commerce channels and are looking for another professional to join our team!

Design Consultant Role Summary

Are you passionate about design? We are seeking a motivated Design Consultant to join our Casa Di Luce showroom location!

As a Design Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting clients with their orders, including inquires about order status, shipping information, product details, damages and returns. You will also be responsible for arranging order pickups, transportation and delivery for both online and in-showroom orders. To be successful in this role, you’ll need excellent people skills and the ability to take on many roles. You’ll assist the sales manager to ensure operational tasks and procedures are successfully completed while delivering an exceptional experience to our customers!

What You’ll Do

  • Communicate with customers and respond to their inquiries (via email, phone, and in person) throughout the sales cycle (from research to delivery)
  • Create Casa Di Luce designs for customers using the preferred design tools to create moodboards, 2D floor plans, 3D renderings, product lists, and style inspiration for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
  • Lead one on one Design consultations in person or via email, phone, and virtual design consults.
  • Deliver projects in a timely manner and within determined timelines.
  • Prepare sales invoices in accordance with current policies and procedures
  • Resolve customer issues pertaining to orders
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding inventory availability and shipping delays, and promptly and accurately relay this information to customers and relevant team members
  • Digitally process online orders
  • Direct technical inquiries to our in-house lighting specialists
  • Ensure full understanding of all products and brands and have a continued awareness of the newest trends in design
  • Work with Purchasing Team on P.O. Status Reports and other items as requested.
  • Participate in inventory management, order processing, and receiving goods.
  • Assist the manager and ensure operational tasks and procedures are completed successfully.

What You Bring

  • At least 1 year of retail experience or customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Google platforms, virtual communication, design tool experience preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, multiple web browsers and ability to quickly learn new computer systems.
  • Previous high-end-retail or e-commerce experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of interior design software is an asset
  • Lighting and/or Design Experience is a plus
  • Proven record for being self-driven, fast learning, and resourceful
  • Ability to successfully manage several details at once
