Kennedy Insurance Brokers is an independent, locally owned, insurance brokerage specializing in complex commercial, fleet, business, home, auto, life and benefits insurance. We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Commercial Insurance Broker to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional who thrives on building strong relationships, delivering tailored insurance solutions, and providing exceptional customer service.

In this role you will:

  • Assess Client Needs and Risks -Conduct detailed evaluations of business operations to identify potential exposures and coverage requirements.
  • Develop and Present Insurance Solutions - Recommend tailored insurance packages that align with client needs and industry standards.
  • Negotiate Terms with Insurers - Work with underwriters to secure competitive pricing and favorable policy terms for clients.
  • Manage Policy Renewals and Changes - Oversee annual renewals, endorsements, and adjustments to ensure ongoing coverage accuracy.
  • Provide Ongoing Client Support - Respond to inquiries, assist with claims processes, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure Compliance and Documentation -Maintain accurate records and adhere to regulatory and company guidelines throughout the brokerage process.

Qualifications:

  • RIBO License (active & in good standing) - Required for practicing as a licensed insurance broker in Ontario.
  • Minimum 5 Years of experience in Commercial Insurance - Proven track record in a Commercial Insurance Broker or support role.
  • Relevant Industry Designations - CAIB, CIP, or CRM credentials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Experience using Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel for communication, documentation and reporting.

Skills

  • Sales and Negotiation Skills - Ability to build client relationships, present solutions , and negotiate terms with insurers.
  • Analytical and Risk Assessment Skills - Evaluating client needs, analyzing risk profiles, and recommending appropriate coverage options.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills -Clear verbal and written communication for client interactions, proposals, and policy explanations.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills - Managing multiple accounts, renewals, and deadlines efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
