Job Title: Library Technician

Status: Part-Time

Red Crow Community College is seeking qualified applicants for our part-time Library Technician at Main Campus in Standoff Ab. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing services to students, instructors, and staff who utilize library resources for knowledge acquisition and academic growth. In addition to personal services, the Library Technician ensures effective operation of the library through database management, material handling and documentation, inventory management, receiving and

responding to patron requests, researching acquisition of resources, compiling information for reporting purposes, and managing special collections.

  • Cataloging books and resource items.
  • Replying to inquiries regarding resources within the library.
  • Assist students with research.
  • Have a working knowledge of the library cataloging system and be able to input resources into said system.
  • Completing and tracking scheduled activities.
  • Have a working knowledge of databases and entering data.
  • Adhere to Red Crow Community College policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of students and staff on campus.
  • Work within the Library team at Red Crow Community College.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a post-secondary library or 5 years related experience required.
  • High School Diploma required Library Information Technology Diploma preferred.
