Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accident Benefits Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide key support to a busy Lawyer by handling administrative duties, conducting legal research, and assisting with the preparation of legal documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a genuine interest in the legal field to grow within a professional setting.

Required Experience
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Accident Benefits field is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit all required OCF forms accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and insurance adjusters to support benefit claims
  • Draft and manage written correspondence with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
  • Review and process incoming correspondence under the guidance of the Lawyer
  • Assist with the preparation of LAT Applications and Case Conference Summaries
  • Request and manage medical documentation through Tracument, including Section 33 requests, EUOs, and related materials
  • Monitor and track outstanding items, approvals, and denials

Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in Accident Benefits within a personal injury law firm is essential
  • Strong client-focused approach with a commitment to advocacy and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Team-oriented with clear communication skills and a willingness to support colleagues
  • Open to learning, responsive to feedback, and driven to grow within the role
  • Completion of post-secondary education
  • Graduate of a Law Clerk or Paralegal program preferred
  • Proficiency with legal software and tools, including Clio, Tracument, DocuSign, Primafact and Outlook

This is a hybrid position with 3 days in office and 2 days working remotely.

Pay: $60,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
