We specialize in delivering reliable and cost-effective services, and we are currently seeking experienced Private Investigators to join our dynamic team in Ontario. As a private investigator at AFIMAC, you will play a vital role in a variety of investigative work, from undercover surveillance and investigation to social media investigations and corporate surveillance, investigations, interviews and disability files.

You will earn:

  • $30.00 to $45.00 per hour before overtime.
  • Hotel accommodations provided when required
  • $30 per diem when lodging required
  • Contract length 1-120 days


Corporate Surveillance, Workplace Investigations and Disability Files

Successful candidates will be responsible for conducting corporate surveillance operations and investigating disability files on behalf of our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in investigation, law enforcement, or related fields to utilize their skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveillance operations to gather evidence related to corporate matters, including employee misconduct, intellectual property theft, and unauthorized activities.
  • Investigating and Assessing workplace incidents: including but not limited to theft, fraud, harassment, misconduct, and other corporate security issues.
  • Investigate disability claims to verify the authenticity of reported injuries or illnesses, including conducting interviews, reviewing medical records, and collecting evidence.
  • Collect and document evidence, utilizing various investigative techniques and tools.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client requirements and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders to provide updates on investigations and support litigation proceedings when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the job, adhering to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

Undercover Investigations

As a Private Investigator specializing in undercover surveillance and investigations, you will play a crucial role in gathering intelligence, conducting surveillance operations, and uncovering vital information for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct covert & undercover surveillance operations to gather intelligence and evidence in different corporate settings such as factory floors, restaurants, night clubs and various other types of locations.
  • Utilize various surveillance techniques and equipment to monitor subjects discreetly.
  • Document and report findings accurately and comprehensively.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into assigned cases, including background checks, interviews, and research. Blending in with your surroundings and playing the part of the assigned position is a must.
  • Collaborate with other team members and law enforcement agencies as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards throughout investigations.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must meet the following criteria:

  • Possess a valid Private Investigator license in the province of Ontario
  • Flexibility and a willingness to travel on short notice within your home province to projects for extended periods of time (minimum 4 week commitment)
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Able to sit, walk, stand, and or drive for extended periods of time
  • Able to read, write, and speak English
  • Be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Previous experience dealing with confrontational situations and having the ability to de-escalate with little to no supervision
  • Experience with the court injunction process
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • **Bonus qualifications with experience in Policing, Military and other relevant fields**
