Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong advocacy skills, a thorough understanding of family law, and the ability to handle complex cases with professionalism and compassion. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives by providing expert legal guidance through sensitive family matters. The Family Lawyer will be responsible for managing cases from inception to resolution, ensuring clients receive comprehensive legal support.

Duties

  • Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, visitation, , and spousal support
  • Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case strategies
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively in court proceedings to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Maintain thorough case files and document all client interactions accurately
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their rights, obligations, and options
  • Collaborate with colleagues and experts as needed to build strong cases
  • Stay updated on changes in family law legislation and legal best practices through continuous research and professional development

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Proven experience in family law or related legal fields is preferred
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients
  • Excellent research capabilities combined with exceptional writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive client situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
