About Q Medical
Q Medical is dedicated to delivering the highest quality independent medical assessments to the legal community. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Report Reviewer specializing in Catastrophic Impairment Determinations and Med-Legal reports to join our team.

Job Objective
The primary responsibility of this role is to review and finalize complex medico-legal reports, and Catastrophic Impairment (CAT) assessments under the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS). The reviewer ensures accuracy, consistency, and compliance with the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (4th and 6th editions), while maintaining Q Medical’s quality and formatting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and edit medico-legal and CAT reports for clarity, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
  • Identify and highlight content inconsistencies, omissions, or areas requiring clarification across multi-disciplinary reports.
  • Verify accuracy of impairment ratings and ensure alignment with AMA Guides (4th and 6th editions).
  • Cross-check factual details against file documentation.
  • Provide clear recommendations to expedite additional investigations or assessments where required.
  • Prepare final Word and PDF versions of reports, including document lists.
  • Collaborate with internal team members and communicate with referral sources as necessary.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with Q Medical standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience reviewing medical and medico-legal reports.
  • University degree in a related field (clinical or legal background an asset).
  • Strong knowledge of SABS and demonstrated training in AMA Guides (4th & 6th editions).
  • Prior experience in the MVA and Med-Legal industry required.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Reporting To: Director of Operations

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts during core business hours

Location: Q Medical Head Office, North York, Ontario
